June Meeting: Marketing to Volunteers: Three Key Steps

Marketing to Volunteers: Creating a Successful and Engaging Marketing Plan

Barb Burgie, owner of Media Fusion will guide us through creating a successful and engaging marketing plan.

Your organization is important to you and you know its value. You rely on volunteers and know that how you market your organization to them is going to continually change. But do you ever put yourself in your volunteers’ shoes? Does the marketing you are using to promote volunteering make people jump at the chance to help? Are they beating your door down and you can’t answer it fast enough?

Why does this organization matter to your volunteers? What are you doing/saying/communicating that will make a difference in their lives? If you can’t answer that then why should they take the time to participate?

In this session learn the answers and the three most important steps for effective marketing.

My Very Own Blanket

Sadly, there are so many children flooding the foster care system due to this awful opioid epidemic. We need your support to help us bring love and comfort to these children, through the gift of a handmade blanket, something tangible they can hang onto in their everyday lives of uncertainty.

We offer, in our workshop all the supplies needed to complete your blankets in about 40 minutes. We can provide numerous colors, styles and different prints (appropriate for all ages) for only $10 a blanket. This includes the material ready to cut and fringe, the cutting template, the special tag, with a space to write the name of the person who made it and the name of the child receiving it, ensuring the blanket will stay with the child when they move from placement to placement, the packaging and shipping into the over joyed arms of a child in foster care and lastly the opportunity to be a part of continuing our ministry!
