PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Greetings Members,
Spring is just around the corner, and somehow, I feel happier already. There is nothing like the expectation of seeing flowers sprouting, warmer weather, and more sun to raise our spirits. Did you know the birth flower for March is a daffodil? It is also Women's History Month; a month that signifies birth or renewal! Renewal is defined as an instance of resuming an activity or state after an interruption. I love this definition especially now. Vaccines are here and our COVID numbers are decreasing. We are drawing closer to the days where we can resume our activities with friends and family. VAN looks forward to gathering again, too! We hope to host a summer event at one of our beautiful parks to fellowship with our members in person. Stay tuned!
We have three months of great opportunities to boost how we work with our Volunteers and other members of our organizations! Join us on Thursday, March 18 for our featured speaker, Nicolle Bellmore Pierse, MS, MSSA, LSW. Ms. Bellmore-Pierse will share 10 Tips for Team Building. In April we will feature Barry Altland from Head, Heart, and Hands Engagement, who will be speaking on The Leader’s Role in Sustaining Volunteer Passion (should be an interactive session!). May will feature Lisa Magoffin, whom you may remember from ServeOhio, speaking on The Story We Tell Ourselves.
Remember it's Spring! Time to raise our spirits. Time to nurture and revitalize ourselves and our teams.
