PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Greetings friends,

It’s FALL!Even though the 10-day forecast on my weather app shows a cactus icon for theweek, I’m still pretty pleased about the (anticipated) change in the weather.It will soon be time for cider and soup, fall leaves and hayrides.

As the landscape gets a makeover, so shall VAN. Our current logo has served us well over the years.With a new decade approaching, we’ve taken time to consider how we’ve grown and evolved. The board has been working with a designer and we’ve narrowed down our new logo options to two basic styles. We’ve developed a quick survey to capture star ratings on logo variations. Since we want this new logo to represent our members, and have general appeal, feel free to share the survey with others

Our November Celebration will be held at NNEMAP, a big thanks to Sean Becker for hosting!As part of this year’s program, we’re planning to include small table discussions that address the current questions, ideas, or issues our members are having. To best serve your needs, we need to know what’s new with you!Please submit your ideas through this simple two-question SURVEY.

If we don’t receive a sufficient number of suggestions, we’ll use the following:
•Always say yes to large last minute groups
•Every other department knows best
•Appreciation Schmappreciation: Why no one needs thanked

Full memberships are currently available.With the launch of the new website, you will receive an automated email from the membership team instructing you on how to set up your login.

If your information was up to date in the old website you may receive an additional automated email from the new system instructing you to renew your membership.

VAN isoffering a time for our members to get together and reflect on the most recent Professional Development meeting. November'snetworking will be a brainstorming session.We look forward to seeing you there!
