PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Greetings Members and Member Organizations,
Happy Spring! I am excited with all that is happening with VAN this year. I hope our new Professional Development resources continue to provide you with moments of inspiration, and awakening for you, our members. I’ve had the privilege to visit some volunteer organizations this past week. I have a deep appreciation to serve as your president, and I am humbled by all our Volunteer Administrators and Volunteers willingness to serve, lead, and make their association stronger and ours as well. We are adding new Board Members to help us grow and develop new membership benefits.
Our organization has recently ramped up our efforts to bring in new members. So please spread the word about VAN. We have so many benefits. My favorite benefit is the networking within our membership. My current job does not lead to much collaboration and idea sharing. I love being able to discuss current challenges and find solutions with colleagues at VAN. I always leave our meetings with new ideas on how to approach my job as a volunteer administrator.

VAN Membership benefits include Networking with members that include a variety of organizations: social service agencies, education, museums, libraries, parks, non-profits, government agencies; Monthly Virtual/In-person Professional Development; Access to members-only website pages that include job opportunities, professional development, and volunteer administrator resources. We hope to hold our annual Volunteer Administrator Celebration with awards this fall in person!

Description: Provides a change leadership framework to help position non-profit and volunteer management personnel to not only prepare for change, but to thrive in and develop from the experience. Participants will be introduced to several change leadership models; be given a change leadership assessment tool; and provided a template for leading and managing change successfully.
