PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Greetings Members and Member Organizations,
YEAH! Summer has just arrived, but I feel happier already. There is nothing like the expectation of warmer weather and more sun to raise our spirits. June marks the beginning of summer and signals freedom for many students, outside activities, and swimming. A great time to build our volunteer base after COVID. But June also marks a month of special days to celebrate. The early part of June marks the date of the first U.S. spacewalk in 1965, as well as the first hot air balloon ride, many pride events in cities all over the country, Juneteenth. And I Love My Dentist Day.
I like someone’s idea that June is a month of renewal! “Renewal is an instance of resuming an activity or state after an interruption”, I love this definition especially now. Talking about resuming activities, join VAN on June 16th for an in-person Professional Development event. Details are below! Please attend and learn of the many opportunities to boost how we work with our Volunteers and other members of our organizations! Remember it’s Summer, time to raise our spirits, nurture and revitalize ourselves and our teams.

2022 OHIO CONFERENCE ON SERVICE & VOLUNTEERISM
Save the date! The 2022 Ohio Conference on Service and Volunteerism will be November 3rd, 2022. The conference will he held in-person at Quest Conference Center in Columbus.
