Schedule of Professional Development Workshops

Annually VAN features a variety of programs that converge on allowing Volunteer Administrators to learn from experts among us and those partnering with us. We hope to stimulate new thoughts and growth in the field by providing a rich variety of professional development opportunities in the forms of presentations, round tables, and networking sessions.

We hope you will join us and share your thoughts, questions, and experiences in the field of volunteer administration! Please note the topics and locations below are subject to change. Please check this page regularly for up-to-date information.

Professional Development meetings are included in VAN membership unless an additional cost is noted, Members please LOGIN to RSVP at no cost. Guests are invited to attend one meeting for free and subsequent meetings for $20 each.

July Meeting: VAN Volunteer Event 8:30am-11:00am

Description:

As Volunteer Administrators, we are always recruiting volunteers to help our organizations, on July 20th, “it’s our turn to GIVE BACK”!

Join the VAN board and other VAN members in a fun, outdoor project helping the Columbus Rec & Parks with a playground mulching/clean up.

We will be spreading mulch and cleaning litter from the park grounds. Dress for the task and for the weather (closed toe shoes, sunscreen, water bottle, etc). A staff member will be onsite with all supplies needed and to direct volunteers.
