Annually VAN features a variety of programs that converge on allowing Volunteer Administrators to learn from experts among us and those partnering with us. We hope to stimulate new thoughts and growth in the field by providing a rich variety of professional development opportunities in the forms of presentations, round tables, and networking sessions.

We hope you will join us and share your thoughts, questions, and experiences in the field of volunteer administration! Please note the topics and locations below are subject to change. Please check this page regularly for up-to-date information.

Professional Development meetings are included in VAN membership unless an additional cost is noted, Members please LOGIN to RSVP at no cost. Guests are invited to attend one meeting for free and subsequent meetings for $20 each.

August Meeting: Service Enterprise

Description:

Join us for our August Monthly Meeting around the topic of Service Enterprise. We have our very own VAN member, Kathryn Wagonrod- Director of Volunteer Engagement at the United Way of Central Ohio who will share with us details around this exciting initiative.

The Service Enterprise Initiative is a national initiative led by Points of Light that strengthens the capacity of nonprofits to fundamentally leverage volunteers and their skills to address community needs. Through a comprehensive research-based assessment, training, consulting and certification model, selected nonprofits are equipped with the tools and technical assistance necessary to support their Service Enterprise transformations.
