Annually VAN features a variety of programs that converge on allowing Volunteer Administrators to learn from experts among us and those partnering with us. We hope to stimulate new thoughts and growth in the field by providing a rich variety of professional development opportunities in the forms of presentations, round tables, and networking sessions.

We hope you will join us and share your thoughts, questions, and experiences in the field of volunteer administration! Please note the topics and locations below are subject to change. Please check this page regularly for up-to-date information.

Professional Development meetings are included in VAN membership unless an additional cost is noted, Members please LOGIN to RSVP at no cost. Guests are invited to attend one meeting for free and subsequent meetings for $20 each.

Leadership within Volunteer Programs

Lt. General Michael Ferriter, U.S. Army (Ret.) serves as NVMM’s President and CEO. In his role, LTG Ferriter leads the development of a national community and funding base for the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. He communicates the mission and vision of the memorial and museum to veterans, active military, donors, partners, and other key constituencies. LTG Ferriter strives to create a community gathering place where the general public can join veterans and members of the United States Armed Forces in celebrating the service and honoring the sacrifice made by veterans.
