Annually VAN features a variety of programs that converge on allowing Volunteer Administrators to learn from experts among us and those partnering with us. We hope to stimulate new thoughts and growth in the field by providing a rich variety of professional development opportunities in the forms of presentations, round tables, and networking sessions.

We hope you will join us and share your thoughts, questions, and experiences in the field of volunteer administration! Please note the topics and locations below are subject to change. Please check this page regularly for up-to-date information.

Professional Development meetings are included in VAN membership unless an additional cost is noted, Members please LOGIN to RSVP at no cost. Guests are invited to attend one meeting for free and subsequent meetings for $20 each.

August Meeting: What We Learned in Detroit 8:30am-10:30am

Our Favorite Things…

What We Learned in Detroit

If you missed the Points of Light convened Conference On Volunteering and Service we have good news for you. Four of your distinguished fellow VAN members are sharing their favorite sessions with you this month.

Join us August 18, 2016 at Avondale at 5215 Avery Road in Dublin.

Here’s what we’ll share:
• Our favorite presentation from the opening plenary
• Strategies in Creating a Culture of Volunteer Engagement (Terri Gregoroff)
• Targeted Volunteer Recruitment (Liz Solomon)
• Beyond the Volunteer Event (Nick Linkenhoker)
• Innovation and Problem Solving (Sue Wolford)
To make sure we get all this information in, we’ll start with a panel, then break into small groups for discussion.
We’ll also encourage you to start now to budget for next year’s conference in Seattle.

Join us August 18, 2016- 8:30-10:30am  at Avondale at 5215 Avery Road in Dublin.
